This, from my brilliantly focused mind thanks to the sugar in a pair of Swiss Cake Rolls:
I've had this snow boot mystery going on over the last 3 or 4 weeks. Every time I wear my "small" boots (as opposed to my knee-high-gigantic-used-to-live-in-Boston-boots), I feel like my feet are wet all day. Indeed, the boots have felt a little bit damp but I wasn't sure it wasn't my imagination. Last night, knowing that we were expecting still more winter weather today, I left my boots in front of a heat vent in our living room overnight.
(Side note: Tori wasn't too pleased with my decision to leave my boots in front of HER heat vent!)
This morning my boots were completely dry. My socks were completely dry. My feet were completely dry.
Now, after a day of trekking around in the rain-sleet-snow of lovely Ann Arbor in winter, my feet, socks, and boots are soaked. Methinks it might be time for some new little boots, hmmm?
